Mother’s Day: A Love That Grows with You

Mother’s Day isn’t just a holiday—it’s a feeling. It’s the quiet sacrifice behind every packed lunch and sleepless night. It’s the whispered prayers, the forehead kisses, the worry that never really goes away no matter how old your kids get. It’s the messy, beautiful, exhausting, irreplaceable gift of being someone’s mother.

For me, becoming a mom was the beginning of everything. It changed the way I loved, the way I fought, and the way I viewed the world. It taught me to be brave when I wanted to run, to smile when I wanted to cry, and to keep going when everything felt impossible because I had someone watching, learning, and needing me to lead the way.

But let’s be honest, Mother’s Day can be complicated too. Some of us carry grief. Some carry guilt. Some are still waiting to become a mom. Some are mothers in ways the world doesn’t always recognize. And some of us are just trying to figure it out, one chaotic, love-filled day at a time. To every woman who has mothered in her own way, by birth, by heart, by sacrifice, you matter. Your love matters. Your effort matters.

Today, I’m taking a moment to say thank you. To my own mom, who I miss deeply and carry with me every day. To my daughter, who made me a mom and continues to show me what unconditional love looks like. And to all the women doing the best they can with what they have, this day is for you.

So whether you’re sitting in silence, surrounded by family, wiping tears, or laughing until your stomach hurts, Happy Mother’s Day. May you feel seen, loved, and celebrated.
